Geoscientists normally require a first degree and even then rarely have sufficient qualifications for work in practice and need further post-graduate training. A great many courses are now available and this section will grow to provide links to courses available for first and Higher degrees. Those not able to afford such education may find the opportunities provided by the Geotechnical Industries Post Graduate Specialised Award, administered by First Steps, of help, (see Courses & Training).
